Detailed Itinerary
Day 1-2: Samburu national reserve
On day 1, your tour guide will pick you from your hotel in Nairobi and drive you to Samburu national park located in North Kenya across the Equator line. Samburu national reserve is located in an arid area feed and nourished by the Ewaso Ng’iro River which is a life line for the wildlife in the area. Samburu is well known for its special five species that attract most tourists to this reserve, the reticulated giraffe, long necked gerenuk, beisa oryx, Somali ostrich and grevy’s zebra which you could encounter during game drives plus the African Big 5 and other animals and hundreds of bird species.
You will also get a chance to meet and interact with the Samburu people when you take on a guided cultural tour to one of the Samburu villages near the reserve. Overnight in Samburu reserve.
Day 3-4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
At the foothills of Mount Kenya, you find the rich wildlife sanctuary of endangered species, Ol Pejeta conservancy. Known famously as the home to the endangered black rhinos and threatened Northern white rhinos. The conservancy is a good place to spot all the members of the big 5 and it also boasts of a high density of predators. Explore the conservancy for a chance to see lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, serval cats, wild dogs, foxes, giraffes, hartebeests, impalas, gazelles, zebras, warthogs, baboons, elands and more.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park
Exit Ol Pejeta and drive South wards crossing the Equator to explore the national parks located South of the Equator starting with the beautiful Lake Nakuru national park. A bird watchers paradise with excellent wildlife sightings.
You will embark on an afternoon game drive after check in and lunch at your lodge. Explore the areas around Lake Nakuru, one of the soda lakes on the floor of the great Rift Valley. Day 6: Transfer to Lake Naivasha national park
An early game drive in Lake Nakuru national park for more wildlife sightings. Return to your loge for breakfast and check out. Embark on a scenic drive to Lake Naivasha national park where you will go on a slow sailing boat trip on the freshwater Lake Naivasha. Enjoy sights of different bird species and animals in and around the lake shores like crocodiles, hippos, antelopes, waterbucks and more. Visit the Crescent Island sanctuary for a rewarding guided nature walk to side by side with the peaceful wildlife that inhabit the island. Overnight in Lake Naivasha.
Day 7: Transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve
After you breakfast at your lodge in Lake Naivasha, check out and drive further South heading to the most popular and visited wildlife park in Kenya, Maasai Mara national reserve, home to the annual wildebeest migration in Kenya.
Arrive in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, have lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Go to the spa, swim (if the accommodation facility has a swimming pool), you could walk around the facility check out the available amenities and the environment.
