Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and Pick up

The company representative will be at the airport waiting on your arrival to welcome you to Kenya and drive you to your hotel in Nairobi where you will spend the night. If you happened to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta airport in the morning, you could have a chance to take a short city tour of Nairobi city or just check in at your hotel, relax and shake off the jet lag. Overnight in Nairobi city.

Day 2: Transfer to Samburu national reserve

Early morning after your breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up and drive you North wards across the Equator to Samburu national reserve. You will be in Samburu in the afternoon, drive to your lodge as you enjoy some wildlife sightings, check in and have lunch. Later on, take on the wilderness of Samburu national reserve for an afternoon game drive and get introduced to the unique animal and birdlife in Samburu. Overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Game viewing – Samburu national reserve

At different times of the day, you will set out and explore Samburu national reserve. Head out early before the sunrises with your packed breakfast into the park. This early game drive gives you a chance to watch animals at their most active time as they get their day started. You could spot the big cats (lion, leopard, cheetah) and other predators on a morning hunt.

Take a break to have your picnic breakfast at a safe spot within the park, thereafter, continue with a mid-morning game drive looking out for elephants, grevy’s zebras, gerenuk, reticulated giraffes, buffalos, dik-dik, beisa oryx, hyenas, wild dogs, the Somali ostrich, eagles, storks, bee-eaters among others. Return to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon of relaxation.
Later in the early evening, drive to Ewaso Nyiro River for more exciting game viewing. Call it a day and return to your lodge by sunset.

Day 4: Departure to Nairobi

Enjoy your last breakfast in the wilderness, check out and start your journey back to Nairobi. You will have lunch once you reach the city and then later drive to the airport for your drop off to catch your flight or drop off at your hotel in Nairobi.
